I am a native of Mobile, Alabama. In 2008, I received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University and graduated summa cum laude. At Alabama A&M, I was a Presidential Scholar and Executive Vice-President of the student body. I attended Vanderbilt University Law School where I graduated in 2011 with a Juris Doctor. While a student and recipient of Vanderbilt's prestigious law scholar merit award, I was a member of the Mock Trial Board and the traveling Mock Trial Board. Tough advocacy and trial strategy landed me the top litigator award. While in law school, I studied in Venice, Italy through the school's Vanderbilt in Venice Program. There I studied international copyright law, counter-terrorism, and European Union law. My past experience includes work with one of the largest civil defense firms in Mobile, a boutique firm specializing in family law and criminal defense, the Department of Justice-ATF, Vanderbilt University's General Counsel's Office, and Mobile County Public School System as a teacher. My teaching experience makes me especially insightful and passionate about legal issues involving children and the school system.

For the past few years, I have represented hundreds of defendants in criminal matters both in juvenile and district court. Additionally, I have represented hundreds of children in dependency matters as a certified Guardian ad Litem. I am passionate about advocating against injustice and speaking as a voice for those who cannot adequately and legally speak for themselves.

As the criminal prosecutor for the City of Prichard, I prosecuted hundreds of defendants on misdemeanors and ordinance violations. As a public defender for the City of Mobile, I worked hard to get justice for my clients and was never afraid to go to trial. Aggressive, diligent representation is the hallmark of my defense.

I have experience in many areas of the law, but the common strand in my practice is working for those who are most vulnerable, who have suffered a form of injustice, or those who simply need help and guidance because they are navigating through a difficult legal situation and need my help. I know that life can be tough. Seeking competent legal counsel will be an important decision if you are facing a difficult situation. No attorney can guarantee a certain result, but I can promise you that I will give you my full attention, vigorous efforts, and aggressive representation.

At The Hernandez Firm we fight to achieve the best outcome possible for you!

Let The Hernandez Firm be your shield!

I am licensed to practice in the state of Alabama and in the Southern District of Alabama. I am a member of the American Bar Association, Alabama Bar Association, Mobile Bar Association, Mobile County Defense Lawyers Association, Vernon Crawford Bay Area Bar Association and the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program.
